Overall progress
- new content
- catch up (holiday, lighter)
- review
- full practice exam
How the plan works
- 31 weeks: 22 weeks of new content (Units 1 to 8 in order, finished by 4 April), 4 lighter catch up weeks (Thanksgiving, two winter break weeks, spring break) and 5 weeks of review and full practice exams.
- Time per unit follows the AP exam weighting: Units 2 and 3 (18 to 23% each) get 4 weeks, Units 1, 4, 5 and 8 (10 to 15%) get 2 to 3, Units 6 and 7 (5 to 8%) get 2. Unit 1 has an extra week for the motion graph labs, Unit 5 for rotation, which most students find hardest.
- Hours are estimates: about 1.5 h for a topic page (read, play, examples, practice), 1.5 h for a practice set, 3 h for the full exam.
- Behind? Use the catch up weeks to finish unticked items from earlier weeks before you start anything new.
